Hello! My name is Kayley. I am the mother of two who through my journey of motherhood has developed a passion for Babywearing and the support of moms and moms-to-be. When I first became a mother in 2022, I realized just how little support some moms get and how little I actually knew about childbirth and raising a tiny human. I knew I wanted to wear my baby and slowly started to explore that world with my tiny human throughout 2023. I saw most Babywearing content online was demonstrated on fit, thin bodies and craved more content with closer to my size. I constantly wondered if that particular carrier/trick/style would even work on someone of my size. In late 2023, I decided to pursue education that would equip me to be one of the voices for plus size mamas who want to wear their babies and signed up to become a Certified Babywearing Consultant through the Center for Babywearing Studies. In working through that course, I realized that Babywearing was not the only way I wanted to help new or growing families and decided to also pursue my certification as a Doula.

I signed up with the International Doula institute in February of 2024, while ~4 months pregnant with my second child. Going through a pregnancy while learning to be a Doula reinforced how much I wanted to share this knowledge and how much it can empower someone throughout their pregnancy to be informed and supported. The birth of my second was nothing like I expected or planned, but my own education and the support of my own Doula helped me through and allowed me to still see the beauty in it. I want to share that empowerment and peace with other moms-to-be whether it be your first or 12th baby, or anywhere in between.

COMING SOON: I am currently working on my education to add Lactation Consultant to my bag of tricks. My first breastfeeding experience was not what I wanted and I was stubborn and silly and did not seek out help. If I knew at the start of my journey nursing my first what I know now, I am convinced the story would have had a different tone. Because of this, I want to help others on their breastfeeding journey have the story that their heart desires! I am also happy to report that my journey with my second has been (so far) what I was hoping and planning for.
